More About Community Choice
Community Choice is a healthcare consortium composed of regional healthcare organizations including 5 hospitals and 10 clinics with a total of 200+ physician members in North Central Washington. In addition to these member organizations, we enjoy partnerships and collaborations with various other organizations in the areas of mental/behavioral health, social services and government institutions.
As a management support organization we provide assistance in information technology implementation, recruitment of healthcare disciplines, HIPPA compliance training, cultural competency in healthcare, and overall leadership in keeping up with the constantly changing healthcare environment. Our efforts to reduce the number of uninsured and underinsured in our service area includes a Community Access Program (CAP) to increase access to affordable healthcare insurance programs for eligible individuals in our service area. With funding from our state's Office of the Insurance Commissioner, we sponsor the SHIBA Helpline (Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisors) for Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Grant and Adams Counties in North Central Washington State. Through the SHIBA Helpline program we coordinate and train volunteers to provide guidance and counseling in navigating the complex health system in our state. We have deliberately brought together the key organizations in rural communities with the expertise to implement a multidisciplinary approach of care management for individuals with chronic and complex health conditions.
